Heavy Mobile / Construction Plant Fitter
Port Talbot | Competitive Pay | Full-Time | Workshop-Based | Permanent
Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting for Heavy Mobile / Construction Plant Fitters (apprenticeship served) to join their client in Port Talbot. You will be working on repairs and maintenance of the mechanical and pneumatic aspects of plant equipment in a busy workshop environment.
Key Duties:

Routine maintenance on all plant from forward tipping dumpers up to dump trucks, excavators, shovels, and dozers on site and in a workshop.
Breakdowns.
Carry out servicing.
Inspections for insurance purposes.
Undertaking risk assessment and associated paperwork, where required, of the relevant activities to ensure a suitable and effective safe system of work.
Preventative maintenance and fault finding.
Following safety measures.
Maintain your company vehicle to a high standard.

Requirements:

A background in working with construction plant (Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Terex etc.).
Basic knowledge of welding.
Current valid driver's licence.
Successful applicants will be subject to a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
