The role is for a qualified pharmacist (less than 24 months registered). You will employed by H. Shackleton and enrolled on the HEIW Post-registration Foundation Pharmacist Programme. H. Shackleton will provide a suitably experienced supervisor and a DPP to support the Independent Prescribing module. (see programme outline below).
You will be well supported by our current experienced pharmacist team and gain experience of a comprehensive range off NHS and private pharmacy services.
The Post-registration Foundation Pharmacist programme:
Is a 2-year programme for early career pharmacists (less than 24 months registered), delivered in collaboration with HEIW, Cardiff University and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS)
The pharmacist will need to be employed by their chosen organisation for the minimum of the 2-year programme
The employer organisation will need to provide an experienced pharmacist practice supervisor (minimum of 3 years registered) to support the learner pharmacist
A Designated Prescribing Practitioner (DPP) will need to be identified to support with the independent prescribing (IP) module, 90 hours of supervision, in the 2nd year
On successful completion of the programme, pharmacists will achieve, 80 level 7 Postgraduate modules from Cardiff University, including the IP practice certificate and the RPS Post-registration Foundation credential award

Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
