Role responsibilities



This role of Heritage Assistant is to support with the implementation, delivery, monitoring and administration of heritage related policies, plans and projects - in its broadest sense from the historic environment through to arts and culture

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

Assist in the delivery and administration of workstream tasks, plan, projects and activities by liaising with the Technical Lead to ensure that you can effectively meet delivery milestones to time, cost, and quality by obtaining approvals, facilitating contact, sourcing materials and suppliers, and coordinating assessments or enhancements and installations, and support partners in this as well. Assist in the undertaking and administration of heritage assessments and audits alongside the Technical Lead to support TfW's understanding of its assets and network, past and present, ensure heritage values are captured, risks recorded, and actions logged to conserve and protect heritage across the network. Undertake a range of research tasks for fact finding, assessments and/or report production or for producing engagement pieces and activities as needed to support the heritage workstream and knowledge exchange as well as support TfW's understanding of its assets and network, past and present. Coordinate and support the effective and efficient running of the Heritage Advisory Panel, Heritage Forum (including volunteer activity) and Task and Finish groups to ensure collaboration is maximised, heritage processes are embedded across the organisation, and opportunities for income generation are captured.

Who we're looking for



Degree in a relevant subject such as heritage, history, archaeology, or another relevant subject, or have relevant equivalent work experience. Experience of working in, or volunteering in, the heritage or culture sector, or a relevant and applicable industry/field Demonstrable experience of working in a supporting or coordinating capacity on projects, grants, events or similar Demonstrable experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders and adapting to differing needs. Experience of undertaking research and producing work of high standard with attention to detail Experience of working on projects and/or grants.

Welsh Language Skills



The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
