About the Role
We are seeking an exceptionally skilled High-End Heritage Carpenter to join our team. We are looking for an experienced lead carpenter who can lead a team on site, delegating some responsibilities to other members. The ideal candidate will combine traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques, that reflect precision and attention to detail. Candidates will be able to construct and deliver bespoke carpentry, altering their techniques to match each individual project and clients specification.
Key Responsibilities
Craft, and install bespoke cabinetry, and fittings to exacting standards.
Using premium materials, apply advanced joinery techniques to ensure durability and elegance.
Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Manage carpentry elements of projects from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.
Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
All carpentry will be completed to current building regulations.
Other responsibilities
Lead a team of tradesmen on site,
Training of an apprentice carpenter, ensuring ethos and craftsmanship is assimilated
To adhere to all SGM, policies, plans and ways of working
Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a carpenter or joiner, with a strong portfolio of bespoke, high-end projects.
Mastery of traditional woodworking techniques and familiarity with modern woodworking technology.
Knowledge of timber species, veneers, and finishing processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate with design solutions.
Ability to read technical drawings to a high level of accuracy and understanding.
A meticulous eye for detail, precision, and finishing.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with high-end clients.
Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Desirable
Experience working within high end residential.
Apprenticeship or relevant formal training in carpentry/joinery. (Level 3)
