Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our family run team. work is varied and will include some flat bed and curtain sider work. Short and long distance. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively.

Moffat and/or Hiab License advantageous.

Also offers generous meal and overnight allowance (tax free).

Includes some overnight and weekend work payable at increased rates.

Opportunity for overtime.

Duties

Operate flatbed/curtain sider lorries to transport goods to designated locations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads appropriately for transport. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.

Skills

Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid driving licence Familiarity with lorry operations and securing loads safely. Strong driving skills with a clean driving record. Previous experience as a is advantageous but full training will be given. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently. Strong communication skills,for effective interaction with clients and team members. A commitment to safety and adherence to road regulations at all times.
