HGV 1 Recovery Driver - South London

As an HGV 1 Recovery Operator, you'll provide a seamless experience to each of our customers in need of assistance, completing engaging vehicle recoveries big and small, satisfying our ETA's and eager to take on the next challenge.

Operating since 1966 , Lantern Recovery Specialists PLC is a proudly owned family business providing light on the lonely road to suit all of your breakdown, vehicle and plant movement, roadside assistance and Heavy Commercial needs. Our sister company, Worldwide Recovery Systems LTD build our vehicles belonging to our rapidly increasing fleet of over 150 vehicles. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a South London based HGV 1 Driver to join our team!

The ideal candidate shall possess an inquisitive mind-set, promoting a strong work ethic, an ability to tend to customers in a timely and effective manner, excellent customer service skills and key knowledge of the motor and recovery industry. The candidate shall be responsible for completing all necessary paperwork, keeping the vehicle clean, and meeting our ETA's as best possible. Shifts are at a length of 12 hours with a shift pattern of Monday - Friday, 06:00am - 18:00pm and 10:00am - 22:00pm (alternating each week).

Responsibilities:

Ensure time keeping is maintained to an exceptional level; the customer is the priority! Attend work with an ambitious mindset to work to the needs of the business when necessary as well as providing an excellent service to our customers. Ensure all casualty vehicles are recovered with exceptional due care and attention. Maintain and aspire to improve upon knowledge of different circumstances surrounding casualty vehicles. Example: Is the vehicle an automatic? Is it stuck in park? Does it require skates? Ensure all equipment required to perform duties is immaculately maintained and taken care of. Accurately keep record of necessary paperwork.
Pay:

Basic Salary of 39,000.00 Bonus Entitlement of 1,200.00 per annum. 5% Commission on generated revenue by the driver Overtime paid at x1.5 Total earnings from 45,000.00 - 50,000.00+ for the right candidate.
Shift:

Monday - Friday - 06:00am - 18:00pm, and 10:00am - 22:00pm (one week each).
