Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled driver for our 12 tonne vehicle to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for ensuring the timely and safe delivery and collection of palletised goods. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to excellent customer service, alongside the ability to operate a curtain side tail lift vehicle safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Safely drive and operate a 12 tonne curtain side lorry for deliveries and collections. Load and unload goods, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Use our own in house track and trace delivery app alongside paper delivery notes where required. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving. Report any accidents or incidents immediately to management.

Qualifications

Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate classification for driving a 12 tonne vehicle. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred. Familiarity with Curtain side lorry operations is advantageous. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail when handling deliveries. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
