Powell & Co Construction is a leading UK manufacturer and erector of commercial poultry housing, agricultural buildings and industrial steelwork. Due to an increase in contracts, we are expanding our team.

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated HGV 2 Driver and Yard Operative to join our team at Powell & Co Construction Ltd. Based in Kingsland, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely delivery of materials and equipment necessary for our construction projects. Your contributions will directly support our mission to provide top-notch agricultural buildings to our clients.

The main duties will be

Unloading and loading lorries in the yard and on sites. Housekeeping of the site and yard. Completion of paperwork. Delivery of materials to sites as required and to complete site clearances. Organising the warehouse and stock. Rotate yard stock

You will need to be physically fit as this role involves heavy lifting and is very hands on.

Skills Required

Driver qualification card / Driver CPC Digtac Tachograph card Good level of numeracy and literacy essential Good time management, ability to organise and prioritise work under pressure Attention to detail Comfortable working on own initiative Full Driving license Forklift experience
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have a positive attitude. Ideally already have a fork-lift licence but in-house training will be provided for the right candidate
