We have an excellent full time, permanent opportunity for an experienced
HGV ADR, PDP & Plant Driver
to join our dynamic Industrial Services division of the business, based from
Immingham
specialising in waste management collections, ADR Vac Tanker and Fuel Bowser work.
As an experienced
HGV ADR, PDP qualified driver
you will be expected to drive the following vehicles, but not limited to,
Bin Lorries,
Hook Loaders,
Skip Lorries,
Forklifts,
ADR and None ADR Vacuum Tankers,
Flatbed trucks and
Rigid Fuel Bowsers.
Duties and tasks are rotated throughout the team, the role is varied from day to day and includes some manual handling tasks.
Previous experience driving fuel delivery vehicles is essential
accompanied with an in date valid Petroleum Drivers Passport (PDP).
The role requires flexibility and the ability to work different shift patterns including full weeks of shifts that include evening and weekends (complying with the Working Time Directive). Basic working hours are 38 hours per week, there are additional payments on top of the basic rate for shift work and overtime rates apply for weekend working.
Reporting directly to the Environmental Manager, with peer level reporting and support of the business the role requires:
A valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
Driver CPC qualification and in date digital tachograph card
ADR - packages and tanks required (barring 1 & 7 these are not required)
Petroleum Drivers Passport (PDP) certification
FLT - Counterbalance and rough terrain (preferred, but training can be provided)
CCNSG Safety Passport (preferred, but training can be provided)
The ability to be able to get to and from work in Killingholme
Experience in waste management, operating vac tankers and fuel collection & delivery.
Experience working in an industrial setting, COMAH site experience would be an advantage
Strong understanding of UK driving laws and environmental regulations.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
The role in brief but not limited to:
Operate HGV vehicles (Class 1 or 2) for the collection and transport of solid & liquid wastes, liquids and loading & dispensing of fuel.
Operating forklift trucks completing various loading, unloading and handling tasks including loading and unloading curtain sider trucks.
Operating other pieces of plant and equipment as the company see fit and provide training for.
Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance needs.
Ensure compliance with all road safety, environmental, client procedures and fuel handling regulations.
Load and unload materials safely, using appropriate equipment and provided RPE/PPE.
Maintain accurate delivery and collection records, including fuel logs, tanker log sheets, waste transfer notes and hazardous waste consignment notes.
Communicate effectively with management, planners, site teams, colleagues and our clients.
Adhere to all company & client policies and procedures.
