Responsibilities

Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Load and unload goods, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policy. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit. Manage routes efficiently to optimise delivery times while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns professionally.

Experience

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for flatbed operation. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills. Experience with loading and unloading goods safely, particularly with flatbed vehicles, is advantageous. A good understanding of vehicle maintenance practices is beneficial.
