We are looking to appoint a HGV Category C Driver.

The successful applicant will also be expected to help on the farm, mainly during the harvest period in the summer.

The Role

The primary role is a HGV Driver, delivering haylage to our customers, mainly Monday to Friday. Any nights out and overnight parking fees are paid for.

Our vehicles carry mounted forklifts (training provided) to deliver the pallets of haylage to our customers.

The farm work during harvest requires working overtime. Training will be given regarding the operation of farm machinery.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year HGV driving experience preferred. Hold a Category C Licence. Hold an up-to-date CPC Certificate. Hold an up-to-date Digital Tachograph card. Be a reliable timekeeper. As the face of the company, you are expected to be polite and courteous to our customers and well turned out. Be able to work using own initiative and to plan own routes.

Working hours

Mainly Monday to Friday, except during harvest time. Minimum 39 hours per week, plus additional hours as required to complete the days' work. Overtime HGV driving, approximately 8 to 10 hours per week. Nights out when required and to comply with driver's hours regulations. Farm work mainly during harvest period.

23 days annual holidays plus all bank holidays No holidays to be taken during harvest, 23rd May - 14th July
