PURPOSE OF THE ROLE -

Ensuring goods are delivered in a first-class condition, completing all necessary paperwork and above all, leaving everyone you meet with a positive impression of you and our business.
You are the 'face' of our business, not just our delivery driver. It is all about making a good impression with your appearance, manner, and the look of your vehicle. The ideal candidate needs to be flexible and adaptable, used to early starts, new pass drivers considered as full training will be given

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

To drive vehicles in a legal and safe manner, while abiding by current legislation. To have the correct paperwork and get signatures/ POD's as required. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, to include the Company Standards of Performance and Health and Safety Policy. Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company's accident reporting procedure Attend essential training required to carry out your driver role. To keep vehicle in a clean and tidy order. Will be required to assist loading and unloading vehicles. To be presentable and polite at all times. To inform customers in line with agreements regarding collections. To contact the office in a timely manner in regard to delays, RTA's, delivery issues. To carry out daily vehicle and trailer checks and report any issues to the transport manager immediately.
Driving one of our MAN TGX 26.520 6x2 units you will have day to day contact with our client who will be allocating the work to you. You will be collecting refrigerated trailers from the port, complete deliveries on the trailer (usually between 4 & 8), complete collections as directed by the client and return trailer to the port, & collect your next trailer.

Working Monday - Friday - you may be required to start on a Sunday or finish on a Saturday

Pay Rate

13.50 per hour - 40 hours (Monday - Friday)

16.00 per hour - Overtime (Monday - Friday)

18.75 per hour - Saturdays, Sundays & Bank Holidays

26.00 night out allowance
