We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 & 2 Driver to join our team at Exol Lubricants Ltd. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and effeciently while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer services and the ability to handle various types of deliveries, including multi drops on curtain siders, vehicles both Class 1 and Class 2, delivering palletised goods either by hand pallet truck, forklifts or when suitably trained, bulk discharge of lubricating oils.
Duties
Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
Appropriate securing of cargo, particularly for flatbed deliveries.
Effective route planning to manage time and fuel effeciency.
Maintaining accurate delivery logs and records.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delyas.
Provide ecxellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.
Assist in the maintainance of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
Experience
A minimum of 2 years driving experience with an ADR entitlement preferred and be up to date with the vocational driver CPC.
A valid driving licence is required.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
Good communication skills to interact positively with clients and team members.
Schedule
Monday to Friday
Occasional nights out required.
Occasional Saturday working required.
