Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our dynamic team at Event Transport. Based in Oldham, you will play a vital role in transporting equipment and materials for various events, ensuring timely and safe deliveries that contribute to our clients' success.

An Event Transport Driver's primary responsibilities involve safely transporting event equipment to and from event locations.This includes driving company LGV's or light commercial vans, loading and unloading equipment, and potentially assisting with event setup and breakdown. The driver may also be responsible for maintaining vehicle cleanliness and performing daily checks, as well as ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies. Detailed breakdown of typical duties:Core Driving Responsibilities:

Operating Vehicles:

Safely operating company vans, trucks, or other vehicles used for event transport.

Loading and Unloading:

Properly loading and unloading event equipment, ensuring items are secure and handled safely.

Route Planning and Navigation:

Planning efficient routes to event locations and navigating to ensure timely arrival.

Delivery and Pickup:

Delivering equipment to event venues and picking up equipment after events.
Other Duties:

Vehicle Maintenance:

Maintaining the cleanliness of company vehicles and performing daily vehicle checks.

Safety Compliance:

Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies regarding vehicle operation and event logistics.

Communication:

Communicating effectively with event staff, dispatch, and other stakeholders.

Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in the event or entertainment industry. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Pay: 91.52-180.87 per day
