Overview

Due to continued expansion We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role offers an excellent opportunity for all drivers with a focus on commercial driving and flatbed operations using Lorry Loader equipment to contribute to our operations while adhering to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to designated locations. Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel consumption. Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in safe working order. Secure loads properly on flatbeds, ensuring compliance with safety standards during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered en route. Adhere strictly to all road safety laws, company policies, and health and safety regulations. Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar equipment. Strong driving skills with a clean driving record and a valid commercial driver's licence. Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods over long distances. Excellent organisational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as securing loads on flatbeds and lifting when required. Good communication skills for liaising with dispatch teams and clients professionally. Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable but not essential, demonstrating reliability and punctuality in fast-paced environments. Pay: 12.50-25.00 per hour
