We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lorry Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of animal feed to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition.
Duties
Operate a lorry in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
Transport feed deliveries to designated locations, ensuring timely delivery.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working order.
Load and unload feed correctly to designated farms and bins
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and logs.
Adhere to company policies regarding safety, vehicle maintenance, and customer service.
Experience
Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Valid class 1 HGV and class 2 HGV license is essential.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members effectively.
