Pay:

Monday to Friday - 16.75 per hour

Saturday - 22.10 per hour

Bank Holidays - 33.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate Class 1 and Class 2 HGV vehicles, including hooklift vehicles, for the collection, transportation, and disposal of waste materials. Execute collection routes efficiently while adhering to all safety and environmental regulations. Operate hooklift mechanisms to load and unload containers safely and securely. Perform daily vehicle inspections and routine maintenance to ensure the vehicle and hooklift equipment are in top condition. Follow company policies and procedures, including waste disposal guidelines and road safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service during collections, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor. Accurately complete all required paperwork, such as waste transfer notes and vehicle logs. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements:

Valid Class 1 HGV license. Experience in the waste management industry is preferred, particularly in operating hooklift vehicles. Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card. Strong knowledge of health and safety practices. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Physical ability to handle the demands of the role. Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and bank holidays as needed.
