Responsibilities

Operate commercial vehicles in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies. Operate a Moffett Forklift Truck when needed to complete deliveries. Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to legal driving hours. Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper securing of goods during transit. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for compliance purposes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times and any potential delays. Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Skills

Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles. Moffett Forklift Licence - Training can be provided Strong understanding of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK. Excellent organisational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently. Ability to operate a variety of vehicle types with confidence and professionalism. Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members. Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided where necessary. This position requires a valid driving licence suitable for commercial vehicle operation, along with a clean driving record. The role is vital in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining high standards of safety and customer satisfaction across all deliveries.
