Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled container Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting containers full of goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively. The Truck Driver will operate ensuring that all cargo is secured and delivered in a timely manner.

We currently have positions available for shift drivers and trampers.

Duties

Operate a Class 1 Hgv for the transportation of goods across designated routes. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, checking that all items are secure before departure. Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and vehicle logs. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring compliance with company policies regarding safety and conduct. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries. Occasional nights out may be required.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices. Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for operating flatbed lorries. Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with local road networks. Strong attention to detail, particularly concerning safety protocols and cargo handling. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills. Excellent time keeping and attendance is essential.
