We are seeking a professional and reliable Container Truck Driver to join our logistics team. Duties

Operate flatbed lorries for the transportation of goods across regional or national routes Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and within scheduled timeframes Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance Secure cargo properly using appropriate restraints and equipment Maintain detailed records of journeys, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance reports Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during transit Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, following health and safety guidelines

Experience

Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience in similar roles Demonstrable knowledge of flatbed driving techniques and cargo securing methods Valid driving licence suitable for operating heavy goods vehicles (HGV) or lorry licences as required by legislation Experience in handling different types of freight, including fragile or specialised cargo, is advantageous Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance standards in the UK Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently and adapt to changing schedules or conditions
