We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Class 1 Tramper to join our team. This role will be a Container role Monday to Friday and tramping all week. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all regulations.
Duties
Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, specifically Container lorries, for long-distance transportation of goods.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads appropriately for transit.
Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation throughout the journey.
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.
Experience
Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record is essential.
Previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is an advantage.
Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation.
