Job Description

General Haulage

We are seeking a reliable and professional Curtainside HGV Driver to join our family run business located on the A76 at Closeburn. The ideal candidate will have experience operating HGV Class 1 vehicles and be confident with curtain-sided trailers. You'll be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to various destinations across the UK including distribution centres and building sites.

Working hours will be Monday-Friday tramping.

Key responsibilities:

Conduct vehicle checks before and after journeys (daily walkaround checks).

Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries and avoid delays.

On time delivery

Safe and secure working practice

Accurate completion of customer and operational paperwork

Key skills, Experience and Attributes:

Appropriate driving licence for our vehicles(C+E)

A safety-first approach to driving

Effective communication skills

You will be required to ensure the load is safely loaded and secure

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 44,954.00 per year
