HGV Driver Class 1 - Limited Company / Self Employed

About Us:

We are a small, energetic company focused on General Haulage using curtain sider trailers. Our team is committed and diligent, and we are seeking a similarly motivated individual with a positive attitude to join us. This role requires maximum hours and includes weekend work.

Shift Patterns available:

4on 4off, day shift, return to home every day

Average Shift Length: 13 hours per day

Start Time: Between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM (must be flexible)

Compensation:

180 per shift (inclusive of all hours) Monday to Saturday

190 per shift (inclusive of all hours) on Sunday

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a curtain side lorry to transport goods to various destinations

Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and compliance with safety regulations, use of pump trucks no handballing required.

Conduct vehicle inspections for mechanical issues and safety concerns

Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members

Accurately complete all delivery documentation

Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle

Comply with traffic laws and regulations

Requirements:

Excellent driving record with no traffic violations

Valid LGV C+E licence

Valid CPC / DQC Card

Valid Digital tachograph card

Minimum of 2 years LGV C+E experience

Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including occasional lifting of heavy objects and driving long distances

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Strong communication and customer service skills

Willingness to undergo training to familiarise with trailers and equipment

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Freelance

Pay: 180.00-190.00 per day
