About Korea Foods Company

Korea Foods Company is a family-owned importer, distributor, and retailer of Korean and other Asian food. We are the largest importer of Korean food in Europe, distribute to 1200 wholesale customers, including the major multiples, and operate 19 retail shops in the UK.

We pride ourselves on working hard, quickly, and we are currently undertaking new expansion plans that will drive the company's capabilities further.

Please be aware that a Class 1 driver within our company will operate a vehicle with a weight capacity of 7.5 tons.*

Contract:

Permanent, subject to 3-month probation

Hours:

45hours per week, M - F 0800 - 1800

Duties and Key Responsibilities

Carrying out Walk-Around Checks (including Tyres) on taking over any vehicles and on returning vehicle (each 15 minutes) ;

Making sure all goods are loaded safely and that the correct quantity is loaded onto your vehicle - checking this against the pick notes;

Follow scheduled delivery routes, driving safely and responsibly;

Follow the delivery instructions on the invoice and the procedure strictly. Any doubt about this matter, please contact managers and make sure the payment is received before releasing the goods;

Ensure that you have the correct invoice for the deliveries and all paperwork is completed as required, all payments are collected as requested and entered the COD sheet;

Keeping the customer and Transport Manager up to date by phoning ahead if you're running late or any incidents;

Providing outstanding customer service and being friendly and helpful from the moment you arrive at the company;

Keeping the vehicle clean and presentable;

Any other reasonable Management requests.

Person Specification

Excellent communication skills for a demanding & customer-focused working environment. Excellent personal organisation and business administration skills. Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales whilst maintaining attention to quality & detail. Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt.

Key benefits we offer include, but are not limited to:

Overnight allowance of 75 per night for delivering into Midlands, Scotland, France and Germany. Drivers are allocated these routes based on a roster system;
Holiday starting at 20 days plus a personal day rising to 21 days after 5 years (plus Bank holidays)
