About the Role

Our Company are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team at AFFA in Steventon. This role focuses on the delivery and collections of pallets, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods to various locations in Oxfordshire and Aylesbury. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with pallet deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle for pallet deliveries across Oxfordshire & Aylesbury Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers, adhering to scheduled routes. Load and unload pallets using appropriate equipment and techniques. Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Maintain accurate delivery records and report any discrepancies or issues. Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and customers to provide updates and address any concerns. Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies. Occasionally work on Saturdays as required, with Saturday overtime paid at time and a half. You be required to drive everything from a van to a 44 Tonne articulated vehicle pulling either a straight frame or a double Decker trailer We are part of Pallet-Track and also dive into haulage work
Requirements

Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving license. Proven experience in driving Class 1 vehicles, preferably with pallet deliveries. Strong knowledge of Oxfordshire roads and delivery routes. Excellent driving record with no major violations. Ability to handle physical tasks, including loading and unloading pallets. Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Will be required to work occasional Saturdays on rota basis which will be paid at time and a half
