Overview

We are seeking professional and reliable Class 1 Drivers to join our Ad-hoc driver pool on mainly traction work on behalf of major supermarket chains in the central belt.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and cleanliness.

Various shift patterns available to give a proper work life balance due to 7 day a week coverage, start times normally between the windows below:

0100 - 0300

1400 - 1600

2100 - 2300

Duties

Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods to specified locations. Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to road safety regulations. Load and unload, ensuring proper securing of goods during transit. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays. Follow all health and safety protocols, including compliance with driving hours regulations.

Qualifications

Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence. Good knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws within the UK. Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently. Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively. Pay: 170.00 per day
