Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively. The Truck Driver will primarily operate flatbed vehicles and ensure that all deliveries are completed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Safely drive and operate flatbed lorries to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation of any delays or issues encountered during transit. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies regarding safety and conduct. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role within commercial driving. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods. Ability to operate flatbed vehicles safely and efficiently. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members. Attention to detail, particularly when handling paperwork and ensuring cargo is secured properly. A valid commercial driving licence is essential.
