Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods across various routes. This role is essential in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of customer service.

Duties

Operate flatbed lorries for the safe transportation of goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in driving. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently. Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous. Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure while maintaining a focus on safety.
