Job Description
We are currently recruiting
HGV Days Class 1 (C+E) Drivers
to join a well-established and growing logistics operation based inBarnsley
.This role involves driving articulated vehicles (Class 1 / C+E), completing a variety of deliveries including store deliveries, RDCs, warehouses, general haulage, trunking, and drop & swap work. Drivers may also be required to support a wider national logistics network when needed.
Early AM scattered starts - with each day going anywhere between 8-10 hours long.
Shift Pattern
Any 5 days out of 7
The rate of pay for this position is 18 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
This role typically involves long-distance driving, trunking between sites, and deliveries to major distribution centres, stores, and warehouses. Drivers must follow strict drivers' hours and Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations and carry out full vehicle safety checks.
Requirements
Valid
HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
DCPC
andDigital Tacho Card
Good understanding of drivers' hours and WTD legislation Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly Comply with on-sitehealth & safety procedures
Strong communication skillsYou must have a valid UK License, no more than 6 points on your driving license.
