Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using a flatbed lorry. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and a customer-focused attitude. As a Truck Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Responsibilities

Operate a flatbed lorry to transport goods to designated locations safely and efficiently. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to safety and operational standards.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles is preferred. Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A commitment to safety and adherence to health regulations while on the road.
