About Us:

Knight Haulage Ltd are a scrap metal haulage company who require an experienced driver to carry out haulage to our customers based around the country. We commit ourselves to go the extra mile to satisfy our customers needs and enhance our reputation.

Your Role:

You will be required to run waste to and from our customers sites while reporting to the company's senior management to ensure the safe and timely transportation of the goods. You will be given full training on walking floor trailers.

Responsibilities:

Safely operating Class 1 vehicles and trailers in line with company policies and regulations Transporting goods between locations while adhering to Road Traffic Act and the Highway Code Conduct vehicle inspections and tyre checks when leaving sites Recognising and reporting defects Excellent knowledge of Tachograph Rules and Regulations Maintaining professionalism when interacting with clients and the public

Requirements:

Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence. Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). Digital Tachograph Card. Minimum one year of experience as an HGV Class 1 driver. Excellent driving record with no more than 6 points on licence. Strong knowledge of UK road regulations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills. Physically fit for long-haul driving.
