Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV class 1 driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As an HGV Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely delivery and adherence to all regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork related to deliveries. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road, promoting safety at all times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C licence) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed lorries. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to tight schedules. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Pay: 15.00-25.00 per hour
