Job Description

To be employed in this role you must have held a HGV Class 1 License for at least 1 year, and have no more than six points on your license.

You will also have the opportunity to earn an extra 3000 each year taking the salary to 41,000 per year.

About the Role

Our driving team has an important front-line role in maintaining our success and reputation. Without our daily customer deliveries we wouldn't be able to deliver all the tasty goods to our customers all over the UK.

You'll be responsible for:

Carrying out driver checks before you start the engine. Carrying out at least two runs over each shift, often to different stores/customers. Helping with loading and unloading your vehicle and any other work that needs carrying out - including cleaning your vehicle and trailer. Carrying out deliveries in the most efficient way possible. Delivering on time, but always safely, making sure our reputation for excellence includes driving!

Pay:

You will be paid on the last working day of the month, for any work carried out between 15th of the previous month to 14th of the current month, you are paid your set salary for the hours worked (10 hours) if you are to work over 10 hours you still get paid the same per day, if the pay period has 20 working days and you worked 200 hours you would be paid your salary as normal, if you did more then 200 hours for the 20 day period then extra hours after the 200 would be paid extra at 13.00 per hour on top of the basic pay.

Day to Day:

You will be required to either do delivery to our branches, sometimes 2 a day, or some days you will be delivering to customers anything from 1 drop to 10 drops, trucks are usually loaded for you, however when you arrive at your destination you will have the use of an electric pump truck to move the stock to the back door where the customer/branch will offload with a forklift.

Working days and times:

Days: Monday to Friday (option of extra shifts on weekend depending on driving hour rules)

Time: Shift start can vary from 4am to 7pm. (on average 10 hour days)
