Job Description

Local deliveries using hi-ab crane, within a 30 mile radius - 2/3 days a week Regional deliveries using hi-ab crane - 2/3 days a week. Collecting stock loads via stock depots at Warrington or Tilbury. Safely operate and drive HGV Class 2 vehicles to transport goods to customers' locations in a timely manner. Load and unload materials onto the vehicle using the HIAB crane, ensuring secure and safe transportation. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and HIAB crane to ensure they are in proper working condition. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving and operate the vehicle in a safe manner at all times. Provide excellent customer service by delivering goods promptly and courteously, and by assisting with unloading materials at the customer's site when necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs, timesheets, and any required paperwork. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues or concerns. Ensure that all deliveries are made according to customer specifications and company policies. Follow proper procedures for handling and securing materials during transportation to prevent damage or loss. Assist with other duties in the yard or warehouse as needed, including helping to load and unload materials, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment
Requirements:

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license with a clean driving record. Valid HIAB operator certification and previous experience operating a HIAB crane. CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification. Knowledge of and compliance with all relevant safety regulations and procedures. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed. Positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
