Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 1 Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using a flatbed lorry. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively.

Responsibilities

Operate a flatbed lorry to transport goods to various locations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to all safety regulations. Using a pump truck. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, ensuring that goods are delivered in good condition and on time.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred. Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is an advantage. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and customers. A commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.

10-12 hour shifts

8:30am start
