Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to navigate various routes effectively.

Duties

Operate a flatbed lorry, tautliner, walking floors and box trailers for the transportation of goods across designated routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting safety on the road. Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role. Familiarity with lorry operations and loading procedures is advantageous. Strong navigation skills, with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively. Excellent time management skills, ensuring punctual deliveries. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. A valid commercial driving licence (C+E) is essential, along with a clean driving record.
