Job Overview

Stonepack Ltd are looking for a class one driver with experience, for deliveries of Stonepack products to Merchants and collections from quarries mainly within Scotland. Tipper experience would be ideal but training can be provided to the right candidate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and an ability to navigate various routes effectively. Experience in commercial driving is highly desirable.

Duties

As a Class 1 Driver, you will:

Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Comply with WTD, driver hours & rest periods Communicate effectively regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns professionally. Use Drop side trailers to deliver goods to merchants and building sites and when required build up the trailer to collect quarry material. Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, sheets, and other securing devices as needed. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that may occur during transit. Participate in training sessions. Perform regular vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance

Requirements

Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence (Must have Class 1 experience). Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card. No more than 3 penalty points Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently. Passionate about providing excellent customer service. Ability to work to deadlines. Confident, polite, and a team player. Good geographical knowledge. Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.

Pay: 14.50 per hour
