HGV Class 1 / 7.5 Tonne Driver

to complement our existing team.

Role Overview:

Based in Burntwood, Staffordshire, reporting directly to the Production and Planning Manager, this role is an integral part of a busy Despatch Department dealing with customers, and a wide range of departments within the business. Other duties involved in the role are as follows:

Main duties will include:

Carry out multi drops across the country.

Position ratchet straps to secure products for delivery

Obtain customer signatures or collect payments for goods delivered.

Assist in loading and unloading truck manually.

Responsible for cleaning and inspecting the vehicle.

Assist with any other task as required in line with business needs and as required within your skill set and experience.

Skills & Experience Required:

To be considered for this role you must be able to drive up to a 7.5 Tonne vehicle, a distinct advantage would be if the applicant possesses a class 2 licence.

Holding a CPC and a digital tachograph is a mandatory requirement.

Must be willing to work flexible hours (Early starts, Late finishes). And some nights away from home and weekend work as when the business dictates.

Full driving licence (Must not exceed 6 penalty points).

To be available for offsite training courses.

What we offer in return:

Rate of pay for this role is 13.00 - 13.50 per hour dependant on skills, experience and level of driving licence.

28 days holiday (inclusive of annual, bank/public days) increasing with service.
