We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Duties

Operate lorries and other commercial vehicles in accordance with road safety regulations. Plan routes effectively to ensure timely delivery of goods across designated locations. Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring the integrity of goods during transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any faults or issues promptly. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance. Comply with all legal requirements related to commercial driving, including hours of service regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays. Adhere to health and safety policies at all times during operations.

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver, preferably with flatbed vehicles. Demonstrable knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Experience with delivery routes and logistics planning is advantageous. Prior experience in handling cargo on flatbeds or specialised equipment is a plus. Valid UK driving licence suitable for commercial vehicles; specific endorsements may be required depending on the vehicle type. This role requires a dedicated individual committed to safe driving practices, punctuality, and excellent customer service skills. Candidates should be organised, responsible, and capable of managing their workload efficiently while adhering to all legal requirements associated with commercial vehicle operation.
