HGV Class 1 Driver

Location:

Head office in Castleford with sites around West Yorkshire

Hours:

Full-time, 39 hours per week

Salary:

30,000 - 36,000 dependant on experience

We are now looking for a professional and dependable

HGV Class 1 Driver

to join our close-knit team. This is a key role supporting our operations by ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of materials to and from our sites.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out deliveries and collections as scheduled, ensuring goods are transported safely and efficiently Drive a range of vehicles as required - including Class 1 HGVs, flatbed lorries, and vans Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and compliant with regulations Load and unload goods in line with safety procedures, ensuring cargo is secure Maintain accurate delivery and collection records using delivery notes and company systems Communicate effectively with head office and customers regarding delivery timings or issues Follow planned routes and adapt to traffic or weather disruptions as needed Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the vehicle Ensure full compliance with driving laws, tachograph regulations, and health and safety protocols

What We're Looking For

Valid HGV Class 1 licence Full Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) Digital tachograph card Proven experience in a similar HGV driving role Strong understanding of UK road transport regulations Willingness to complete other non-driving roles as and when required Good communication and customer service skills A reliable, responsible, and professional attitude
