Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of Concrete Products to various construction sites and Yards whilst using Vehicle mounted cranes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage deliveries in a timely manner. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting the construction industry with essential materials.

Responsibilities

Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, including crane and tipper lorries , ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies. Deliver concrete products to designated sites and yards across the region, adhering to scheduled times and routes. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues promptly. Assist with loading and unloading materials as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of loads. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for each shift. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays. Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Have a customer focussed attitude on site to meet client needs.

Qualifications

Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record and CPC certification. Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with crane lorriesand tippers. Delivery driver experience within the construction or related industries is highly desirable. not essential but preferred. Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial vehicle operation. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during deliveries. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
