We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. Duties
Operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres.
Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to legal driving hours and safety regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and report any issues promptly.
Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Perform handball duties, including manual loading and unloading of goods when required.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or delays.
Follow all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during operations.
Skills & Qualifications
Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
Valid Driver CPC qualification.
Valid Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar large transport equipment.
Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; experience in delivery driver roles is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills to plan routes efficiently and manage schedules effectively.
Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as securing cargo, performing vehicle inspections,
and completing handball duties
.
Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members professionally.
Knowledge of relevant road safety regulations and best practices for the secure transport of goods.
