The Role

*Class 1 Drivers on the following Shift Patterns
*Days - Mon to Friday

*Be prepared to drive Class 2 Rigid if required

*Overtime shifts Saturday and Sunday available, with a Saturday rota every 13 weeks.

Main Purpose of the role
To collect and deliver freight to various points within the UK in a timely and safe manner, whilst maintaining a polite and presentable profile to all colleagues and clients. Role must be fulfilled with legally and with reference to current EY driver's hours laws, WTD regulations and normal Road Traffic Law.

The role will require some nights out, and flexibility is crucial as you will not be assigned a vehicle of your own. Be prepared to drive Class 2 if required

Key responsibilities:
- Comply with all Health & Safety regulations
- Fully aware and compliant with daily vehicle checks
- Operation of digital tachograph and load retaining straps
- Able to carry out occasional handball assignments
- Timely and accurate completion of customer paperwork
- Understanding of pallet control (PCVs)

Knowledge and Experience

- UK geographical knowledge
- Tachograph and Drivers legislation - Fully compliant
- Driving efficiently and safely
- Fluency in English language & Clear Communication skills
- Respectful of the Maxim fleet and takes pride in its appearance
- Conscientious and helpful
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Positive and flexible attitude
- Polite and presentable (prepared to be an Ambassador of the company)
- Ability to concentrate in a busy environment
- Able to carry out physical activity as the role demands
- Understanding of written and oral communication
