HGV Class 1 Driver
to join our team.Role Overview
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of steel fabrications between our customers and our galvanising facility. This role involves both local and regional deliveries and collections, ensuring timely, professional service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate Class 1 and class 2 vehicles in compliance with all road transport regulations Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects Load and offload steelwork using appropriate securing methods Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and communicate clearly with customers Represent Northwest Galvanising professionally on every job Follow all site and health & safety procedures
Requirements
Valid
HGV Class 1 (C+E)
licence CurrentDriver CPC
andDigital Tachograph Card
Previous experience transporting steel or oversized loads is beneficial but not essential Good communication and customer service skills Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independentlyJob Type: Full-time
Pay: 16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 - 50 per week
Work Location: In person
