Role:

Class 1 HGV Driver

Salary:

14.25 per hour

Location:

Driffield, YO25 8ES

We are expanding our team and seeking experienced Class 1 Drivers to join our fleet. This role involves a variety of tasks, including general haulage, machinery transport, and walking floor operations across the region.

As a Driver at BGH Hull Ltd, you will be contracted to work 40 hours per week. Overtime is paid at a rate of time and a half for any hours worked beyond 45 hours. This position requires nights away as part of your duties, which are paid at an enhanced rate.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate vehicles safely and professionally

Drive both long and short distances as required

Assist in planning schedules and routes with your line manager

Monitor traffic reports and adjust routes accordingly

Conduct thorough pre-use defect and cleanliness inspections of your vehicle

Complete proof of deliveries using a tablet

Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicle cab

Qualifications and Requirements:

Valid Class 1 licence

Tachograph card

CPC Qualification

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Walking Floor driver

Maximum of 6 points on your licence

Valid right to work in the UK
