Job Description
We are an established and busy steel fabrication and erection company based in Dundee. We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 driver to deliver steelwork loads around Scotland. The position is a full time and permanent working 37 hours per week with occasional overtime, competitive rates of pay depending on experience.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Un-loading steel deliveries to our workshop premises using overhead cranes. Loading steelwork onto 45' trailers using overhead cranes. Driving artic lorry / loaded 45' trailers to various sites around Scotland. Delivering and picking up orders in transit van. Maintenance work within Factory. Complying with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements. Any other duties as required.
Key Skills and Requirements:
HGV Class 1 driving license. Experience in handling structural steelwork. Ability to use (learn to use) overhead cranes, training will be given. Availability to work out-with normal working hours (early starts, late finishes) Standard Driving license.
