Thorburn Group is a 3rd generation, family run business that has continued to grow from strength to strength through continuous investment and improvement in our facilities, plant, staff and products. We are one of Scotland's leading suppliers to agricultural, industrial and commercial industries for steel fabrication, engineering, retails and machinery sales and servicing. We currently operate from 2 sites in Duns and Berwick upon Tweed and, due to continued expansion, we are currently recruiting a HGV driver to work from our Duns site.

About the role

We are recruiting a reliable and experienced HGV and Class 1 Driver to work on a full time, permanent basis. You must have HGV class 1 driving experience. The role is vital to ensuring the safe and efficient movement of machinery and materials to support our operations across Scotland and occasionally further afield.

HGV Driver Requirements

Hold a valid commercial Driving License with the Correct Categories C / C+E Have a Professional Driving Qualification called the Full Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) Hold a Digital Tachograph / Smart Card No more than the maximum of 6 penalty points on the Driver's License (No DD, DR or IN endorsements accepted) Nights out required occasionally Strong understanding of safe loading practices and securing heavy loads Conduct routine vehicle checks Ensure all transport activities adhere to legal and company standards Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
