Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage routes effectively.

Responsibilities

18 to 20 p/h Tramping Curtain Side General Haulage Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all road regulations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork for each delivery. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when required. Manage routes efficiently to optimise delivery times while minimising fuel consumption.

Requirements

Valid Class One licence. Experience with container. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A commitment to safety and customer service excellence.
