Job Description
Job Summary
Due to an increase in business we are looking for Class 1 Drivers to fulfil new and existing contracts in England, Scotland & Wales. Owing to the nature of the work, this role will involve overnights for which an allowance will be paid. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Class 1 driving licence and have at least 2 years experience driving HGV's. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of the Company's finished product, raw materials and fulfilling third party contracts.
Duties
Delivery and collection of goods as per Company requirements. Carry out and record daily walk around checks of the vehicle and trailer to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Report any vehicle maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly. Organise the loading and unloading of cargo, securing it properly for transit. Maintain paperwork as per Company policies. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Requirements
Valid Class 1 licence, Digi-card and up to date CPC. HGV driving experience. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices. Excellent time management skills and reliability in meeting delivery schedules. A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism on the job.
