Smurfit Westrock is a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging.

As a HGV Class 1 Driver your primary function is to drive various vehicles for the transportation of recovered fiber between our customers and the company facility. You will have a deep understanding of the importance of health and safety and be committed to upholding a safe approach to all tasks.

Experience in waste logistics preferred ,Experience in Walking Floor, Hook Loader and Vehicle Mounted FLT is extremely desirable.

Duties

You will hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.

Collecting customers materials in a safe and professional manner. Adhere to all site rules whether on Smurfit Westrock or customer sites. Operating vehicles and associated ancillary equipment. Conducting daily vehicle checks in accordance with company procedures to ensure roadworthiness. Promptly reporting any vehicle defects. Maintaining mandatory driver / vehicle records. Ensuring loads are secure and within weight / capacity limits. Adhering to all current WTD / EU road transport regulations. Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and presentation. Duty of care to self and others. Report all accidents and near misses. Reporting issues / customer complaints to the Transport team.

Qualifications

Provide customers with the highest level of service. No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (No DD, DR or IN endorsements).

You will put safety first in respect of your vehicle, your loads and all other road users. Understanding of EU driver and WTD legislation. Sound geographical knowledge Excellent communicator. Flexible approach to working patterns with varying start times as well as occasional overtime / weekend work will be required.

Pay: 32,000.00-37,000.00 per year
